RADARPLUS SM1610-4: an enhanced AIS receiver with industry-leading sensitivity in a rugged weather-resistant chassis. The SM1610-4 has added VDL analysis capability making it a valuable tool for port administrations. AIS is so widely used that some ports are congested with AIS traffic. The SM1610-4 provides analysis tools to measure the health of the VDL. Total number of slots used, garbled slots and packet collisions aid in determining how full the VDL is and if there are problems present.
The SM1610-4 is designed to meet all of the receiving requirements of AIS Base Stations per ITU-R M.1371-1 and is also compliant with the revised standards NMEA0183 v4.0 and ITU-R M.1371-4.
The RadarPlus SM1610-4 serial data output will drive most popular marine charting software packages and ECDIS available today. The output provides the location of all AIS transponders within receiving range.
